The composite media installation Come into My Drain created by artist Luo Jr-Shin is a space-specific installation work that combines sound. The wooden structure guides and even forces the audience to change their body habits to get in the work. Breakfast At Dibannel, composed by musicians Mayday Masa and Yile Lin comes from the back of the wood, the back of the chair, floors, and stairs. While proceeding with the music, the audience is encouraged to re-see their relationship with the architectural space, as well as how sound, light, and objects draw emotions and cognition.
Luo Jr-Shin takes "the deepest fear but also the nourishment" as the key basis for the idea of this work. The subject described here was dark, negative, and periphery - but it could also be prejudiced, or identified within a social framework. Under the turbulent situation, the world seems to be divided into two halves of light and darkness with clear barriers. The artist Luo Jr-Shin is curious about this contrast and is also interested in the vague existence between the two. Front/back, light/dark, all depend on the viewing angle; maybe, in the dark, we can also see the shimmer.
